About Next Step Rooms
Next Step Rooms is a trading name of Easy Accommodation Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 12689492, registered office 18 Nicholson Road, Dunton Green, Sevenoaks, Kent TN14 5GX). We let furnished rooms in supported shared houses, and we publish free help for people facing homelessness or moving on from supported living.
Why we publish this
Many people leaving supported living, hostels and temporary accommodation do not know what help exists or how to ask for it. We built these guides and tools to help anyone, whether or not they want one of our rooms. We are a housing provider, so you should know we have a commercial interest: our pages may mention our rooms, and you can register for one. Nothing in the guides or tools depends on that.
How the guides are written
- Each guide is written in plain English from official and charity sources, which are listed at the bottom of the guide.
- We use AI to help draft and refresh guides. A guide is not a substitute for advice, and it has not been reviewed by a solicitor or an adviser unless the page says so.
- Guides show the date they were published and, where they have been changed, when they were updated.
- Our videos come from other organisations. We did not make them and they are marked as such.
How we check the facts
Every day, automated checks look at our pages and tools. They test that links, helplines and videos still work, compare key facts such as time limits and phone numbers with the official sources they came from, and flag anything that looks out of date for us to fix. Laws, benefit rules and helplines change, so always check the official source linked on the page before you act.
What we are not
We are not Shelter, Citizens Advice, the DWP or a council, and we are not a law firm. Our letter templates, plans and guides are general information for people in England unless a page says otherwise. They are not legal advice.
